Miso Salmon
TIPS
- You can cook your salmon using an air fryer or traditional oven. If using the oven, be sure to use a heavy-duty metal baking sheet. Avoid glass bakeware, especially under the broiler, as it may shatter from high heat.
- Cook times can vary depending on your oven model and the thickness of the salmon. Monitor closely to avoid overcooking or burning.
- For best results, use an instant-read thermometer to ensure your fish is cooked through. Cooking seafood can feel intimidating, but a thermometer removes the guesswork. Any food-safe model will do, though we recommend the Thermapen MK4 for its accuracy and speed.
AIR FRY
1. Line the air fryer basket with foil or parchment paper for easy clean up.
2. Wipe off excess sauce to prevent burning.
3. Place filets skin-side down.
OVEN BROIL
1. Place top oven rack 4-6 inches from the broiler element.
2. Turn broiler on.
3. When the oven is ready, remove the fillets from the refrigerator, wipe off the excess sauce , and place the fillets skin side down on the lined baking sheet (the marinade will quickly burn under the broiler so try to remove as much excess as possible).
4. Broil for 8-12 minutes (adjust for thickness) until golden brown. If the fish is not fully cooked but the top is sufficiently browned, turn off the oven and leave it in the oven for a few minutes to carryover cook.
